This matters more than it sounds. Much of what this site covers is somebody's living practice, and the person best placed to notice an error about how a festival is kept in Thrissur is somebody who keeps it in Thrissur.
If you want to write for us
We are a small team and we would rather have one person who can check a subject properly than three more drafters. Right now the people we most need are:
- a practising Indian chartered accountant, and a property lawyer, for the NRI section
- a teacher or performer who can check classical dance and music
- practitioners of Sikh, Jain, Muslim, Christian and Buddhist traditions, to check pages about their own practice
- someone who knows craft provenance and GI registration
Write with what you can check, not with what you can write.
