Questions people ask
Can non-Hindus enter these temples?
It varies, and the temple decides. Some major temples restrict the inner sanctum to Hindus; many have no restriction at all. Each page here says what that temple's rule is, and rules do change.
What should I wear?
Covered shoulders and knees is the safe minimum almost everywhere. Several South Indian temples require men to remove their shirt in the sanctum, and some require a dhoti or a saree. Where that is the case, the page says so.
