Someone on the ground in India

For the things that need a person physically standing somewhere in India this week, and you are eight thousand miles away.

We introduce you to professionals we have checked. Nobody pays to be listed, and our articles never recommend one by name.

What this covers

  • Visiting an elderly parent, and telling you honestly how they seemed
  • Collecting or filing documents in person where an office will not accept post or email
  • Being present for a repair, a delivery, a valuation or a locksmith at a family flat
  • Hospital admission paperwork and follow-up when a relative is admitted and nobody in the family is in the country
  • Bank, registry and utility errands that require a body in a queue

What it is not

Not medical care, not legal representation, and not power of attorney. Where something needs a professional or a legal authority, we say so and point you at the right kind — a doctor, a lawyer, a CA — rather than doing it badly.

What it costs

Priced per visit, quoted before anything happens, with the person's name given to you in advance. Recurring arrangements — a monthly visit to a parent, say — are priced monthly.

The honest limitation

This is a small network of individuals, not national coverage. We are strongest in Delhi NCR and a handful of metros. If nobody is near your family, we will tell you so rather than sending someone unsuitable four hours by road.
